Nugget Sandstone |
During early Jurassic Utah was nearly covered with windblown sand from the NE. The dune sea may have been the largest, ever, in North America. |

Woodside Shale, Thaynes Formation, Ankareh Formation |
Sea level fluctuated during the Triassic. It first exposed muds that oxidized red, then it encroached and produced off-shore reefs, lastly it retreated and red shales, sandstones, and conglomerates were deposited. |
