Nugget Sandstone

 During early Jurassic Utah was nearly covered with windblown sand from the NE. The dune sea may have been the largest, ever, in North America.

Woodside Shale, Thaynes Formation, Ankareh Formation

Sea level fluctuated during the Triassic. It first exposed muds that oxidized red, then it encroached and produced off-shore reefs, lastly it retreated and red shales, sandstones, and conglomerates were deposited.
