Fuel Company - Dugout Mine
The original mines in Dugout Canyon, northeast of Price in the Book Cliffs, were developed in 1906 and operated to 1953. The present Dugout mine was developed by Canyon Fuel Co. in 2001 and produces coal from the Gilson seam.
